    S3 hull airbox area of concern

    I wasn't too sure where to post and I did a search for relevancy but nothing came up so here goes:

    As found on MY09 GTX LTD iS:

    Just did a thorough search around the airbox (Above the SC) and found that the charge pipe clamp from the SC has started rubbing through the bottom of the airbox. (The actual hex head was the culprit) It rubbed about 1/2 way through after 80 hours.

    This was quickly fixed by rotating the clamp just a couple of degrees.
    (Came from dealer as is otherwise)

    The airbox also is also supported by a plastic bracket which is bolted onto the SC.
    There are 3 bolts holding the plastic bracket (And they have locktite on them even though they are screwed into plastic lol)

    Again I'm not sure which other S3 hulls are in the same boat (lol) but I hope its worth noting.

    That is good to know. Gonna check mine today. I noticed in your sig you have an oceania ecu??? never heard of it where did you get it?

    Its just the non-limited ecu used here in AU.

    Not sure if its the same as the EU, probably is. (BRP AU takes care of Oceania...?) I'll change it to non-limited.

    The bracket may be plastic but the SC housing is alloy (where the threads are) so the thread locker is going to be just fine.

    Fair enough, I haven't pulled the SC yet...

    They came out pretty easily without ratchet, hmmm...

    Stick shift, how did yours look?
