    Stock head

Hey guys, Im finially getting my parts ready to get over to dan (waterworx) and i want to get the head milled to ensure proper MLS sealing!(Multi Layer Steel Headgasket)

Before touching it, it was a OEM 951, running a 5 hole base gasket.

How many thous can i take off, before needed to run a 6 hole gasket.

I only run 93 octane now.

Hopefully someone has been through this!

I hate calling and bothering him.. I just dont wanna cut to much off, and have issues later.

Also, .25mm over STOCK raves are fine correct? I got new cylinders that are oem bore with no issues!

Don't worry, bother him He is doing your motor, he'll know whats best. I would ask him anyways what he recommends since I guess he will be guaranteeing the motor for a bit I would just add a PPG Level 1 and be done with the motor portion.

It is NOT just a flat mill off the bottom. It also requires that the squish clearance be corrected to the amount take off the flat surface. I assume that your machinist knows this or you will be in a world of hurt later. You need to talk to your machinist so that he knows what base gasket (thickness) and compression you expect.

There is no magic # to cut the head. You first have to assemble the motor then check squish,if it outta spec then change the base gasket.
