    Bad coil?.Throttle position sensor?

Alright guys and gals here's my problem. When cruising around under 5k rpm I'm getting a 300rpm fluctuation as I hold the throttle steady. It's enough of a surge that I can feel it in the seat of my pants, I changed plugs with no improvement. I then used a ziptie as a "cruise control" to make sure that the throttle was being held steady as I rode and I saw the same fluctuation. Here's the kicker, on wide open throttle runs the ski will hit 8140-8160 and stay there, it only happens around 5k rpms and lower. The ski also fluctuates on idle between 1700-1880 but from what I've seen on here that seems normal. any help or direction is greatly appreciated...thanks Damon

sounds like a lean condition in my opinion. your intercooler/ open loop and rear air might be running a little lean with everything else stock.

Interesting. I figured that I was safe with a stock charger and injectors with our heat and humidity. I just started noticing the problem last weekend when I was riding with a different group of guys who do about 90 to 100 miles on one tank of gas. We cruised around at 4500-5000 rpms 95% of the ride which is something that I usually never do. I could see the fluctuation and feel the surge from just above idle all the way to around 5k rpms. The ski pulls hard all the way from holeshot to top speed, it just feels like it's missing or "surging" on the low end with steady throttle being applied.

Im going through the same issues mine is doing it at 6500rpm's. After I go wide open it pulls to 8100rpm and stays there.

I was reading where another guy was going through the same thing and he replaced the map sensor. I havent gotten to changing that out yet.
