She clicks but dont start?!
Evening guys, here we go the first actual problem of this year for me.....
ok I used my 40 hr 2005 rxp at the weekend, all was good. Came in and trailered it, fired her up and blew the sea water from exhaust. traveled the 60 miles home to my lockup, by now its dark. I said to the misses we will flush them thru now and come back tomorrow to wash and polish as it was too dark. hose on, fired up let tickover for 3mins then switched off the water and revved it a few times to clear exhaust. All was good.
until the next day.......
washed it, polished it, greased it, spray oiled everything, all was still good. then i tried to start and it just clicks. click click, click click, as if a flat battery or seized engine.....
i stripped off the exhaust, supercharger, inlet manifold, starter motor all seem fine.
the starter runs well off craft on a jump pack, if i use my powerprobe to feed the starter on craft direct from crafts battery i got it to turn very slowly....
My thoughts are now either a dead battery even tho its on the charger, or bad earth somewhere?
does anyone know if this sounds familure, and whatelse should i be checking? i'm 99% sure engine mechanicals are good.
I'm also getting a click in time with the starter click from the mpem unit up front. and another thing as i put the lanyard on i get a muffled click/pop from starter location, this is before i press the start button?!
any ideas? anyone

I'm guessing your starter relay is bad. try switching that out and se what happens.

Not to sound too green, is that easy to seperate? I thought it was a sealed unit

Its easy. Next to the mpem about $40 and nearly certain the relay is the issue

Try to shortcircuit the starter relay by connecting the two big red wires going in to the realy. You can use a screwdriver or similar to shortcircuit. This should bypass the power through the relay, and if the engine is cranking now, the relay is most likely broken.

first off check the basics.... clean battery terminals and connections.... im thinking this will solve it i have an 05 rxp and mine did the same thing.... but them your probably going to get a code flash ""sensour""

My way takes only two seconds to test...
I would start with doing what I told you.
If it doesn't crank doing what I told you, then check battery terminals etc...
