Polishing intake grate and shoe
Gents is it worth the trouble to polish the 3 Aluminum underbelly parts. Is there any performance gain?

I polished my pump and cleaned up all casting marks etc from the intake to the exit nozzle. I rubbed it down with 800 - 1200 -1500 wet-n-dry sandpaper. Matched the grate etc. If you have the time... do it I think. I changed my prop and bored my exit nozzle so it's hard to tell what the gain was but has to be better that stock roughness for sure.

Polishing - no harm.
Removing any significant material from the grate - only if you want to die.
