Is the ICer new or used???If its used it could be clogged..also Check your water routing.. you could have one of the hoses kinked or you tightened the coupler that connect the J-pipe to the waterbox to tight cutting off the water from the J-pipe to the waterbox...

Is it a new or used riva IC? Gen1 or 2? If it is a used gen 1 IC i would bet it is clogged up. I'm suprised the exhaust temp buzzer diddn't go off before melting shit though. As sno mentioned though you want to double check the there are no kinks in the cooling lines and that your j-pipe to waterbox coupler top clamp is not restricting the 3 pisser holes in the j-pipe.

You could possibly T the line but if the cooler is clogged it is defeting the purpose of running it.

Bet thats your problem..just cause water is flowing through it doesnt mean its good....It could be 50% clogged and it still flow water....

Replace the I/C with a new one. Change over to a XS style I/C is the cheapest way.

Sometimes if you push your j-pipe into your waterbox to far it will cut off some of the water flow and get hot. Happened to me once. Dont push the j-pipe all the way into the box untill it stops. Tighten the clamp befor that point
