    Stuff in the Impeller?

I have been enjoying my running 95 SL 750 for a few trips to the river, when suddenly it starts making a really bad noise. Sounds like rocks stuck inside a fan. So I kill it, and check the nozzle and pull out a small rock and a piece of flat metal. The noise does not go away, so I put it back on the trailer.

How I sucked up a rock, or anything else, in the middle of a river is beyond me. The bigger question is: did the metal get sucked in, or was it part of the ski? (random metal floating in the Ohio river? my odds are not good)

So I will be pulling it apart to see what happened as soon as I have the time. The weather is getting chilly here anyway, so I am moving on to Quads anyway.

Remove the jet pump, look for damage.

Also check the pump bearings for any signs of slop, wobble, or grittiness.

Pump removal info in my signature links.
