    Exhaust temperature sensor

After my top end rebuild, my exhaust temperature sensor was going off. Had a problem with water getting into the cylinder, but don't think the two are related. I think that I damaged it when I removed the stinger to pull the engine.

Is there a way to test the sensor to see if it's working properly?

Did you install a D plate?

    No, I didn't. It's still completely stock.

might consider doing it before your cat grenades. A D plate is pretty cheap.
