    pro 1200 carb tuning

New to the jetski world and looking for some advice. I have a 2000 pro 1200, all stock. I took the carbs off and cleaned them because there was a mid range throttle bog, which i could get past and it would run great at high speeds. I put them back on and no fuel delivery. SO i cut (I KNOW i shouldnt of) the springs to reduce the pressure to allow fuel to flow, which it did and it runs good now.

I took it out yesterday to tune the low speed, becuase that is all the carps have Keihin CDKII 42mm with Accel pump. I got the low speed good, but the high speed jet seems lean. I want to replace the springs with the right size either 70g or 40g and put in the right main jet so its not lean. If you could advise which spring to use and which main jet to put it. The carbs are stock now. Thank you

stock carbs would be 40mm,black with an accl pump.my 00 pro had incorrect 70 low jets in it should have been 65's.stock jetting in 01 (best setup) was 65 lows at 1 1/8 out,40 mids,140 mag,142 cen,135 pto on the mains.are there any mods done to the ski??i'd stay with the stock springs

okay, i need to take the carbs off and see whats in there for jetting. for the springs - 70g. is stock right? Im a little concerned with the stock jetting being a little lean, please correct me if its not.
    Thanks

only mod is a c&s performance intake. What size needle should i use? In the book I have from polaris, it says to use a 70g. spring , and pop-off between 10-18psi. I have the cdkII jetting page from keihin that says with a 70g spring and 1.6needle it will place my pop-off at 24psi, which is to high according to polaris, which would make me lean.

So, should i use stock jetting and a 40g. spring and either 1.6 or 1.8 size needle. Thanks

there are mistakes in the service manual.the higher of the 2 smaller jets is the mid.stock seat is 2.0.i'd stay with the stock stuff and jet like a 01 slx.verify that the accl pump IS working.the carbs may need to be synced.set the needle arm height as per the service manual.

ok, the carb (also stamped 1 on the bottom where you access the main jet) w/ the accel pump has #142 main. the middle carb (stamped 3) has #138 main. and the end carb (stamped 4) has #145 main. All three carbs have 2.0 needle/seat. All three carbs have #65 low and #42 pilot jets.

Are the carbs in the right order and which carb is the pto, mag, and center?

    Thanks

the carb closest to the skis front is the mag or magneto carb, middle carb is the cen or center, carb closest to the prop is the pto or power take off.does it still have the stock oil injection or is it premix??if its premix i could see somebody changing the jets to a 142 mag,145,cen,138 pto for mains

It is still oil injection, but i am considering switching it to premix just for the safety. I have 142 mag, 138 center, 145 pto. Im gonna go ahead and leave the 142mag and take the 138 from the cen and put it in the pto carb. and vice versa. Now they'll be 142 mag, 145, cen and 138 pto. Is that ok? I ordered the 70g springs today, and when i get them and install them and check pop-off, ill advise thanks for the help.
