    clutch failer

I've been preparing myself for the inevitable. We had a lot of fun this Labor day and creamed a bunch of unsuspecting seadoos but now the weekend is history and so is my clutch, so it seems. I popped off the air intake and the SC wheel spins both ways, I don't have a boost gauge yet but I can't hear the bov blow off pressure so i assume it's the clutch?

When you mod stuff it breaks. And modding increases the chances of a clutch failure 10 fold.

taking it back is the last thing on my mind. you obviously missed my thread: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...nch&highlight= I've been preparing for this repair and have accepted it as just part of the price of blowing away the competition. There's a large club of speed boats that meet at the sand bar on our river, the look on their faces as i'm passing most of them is worth all the work. Besides, I want to know how it works and how it might be improved. I'm just a little surprised it happened before 50hrs.

Don't be. E1 and Vipec (depending on the tune and your riding style) can be brutal on clutches. It's not a hard fix. About a 4 hours job your first time.

I am because only about 4 hrs on E1 & vipec, most of the rest on cruise control on long rides to silver glen springs, all on smooth fresh water. Since early on I knew this was coming so i've been kinda babying it but If this repair goes well enough...the mittens come off. I'm wondering about the special tool, has any one fabricated something or i'm stuck buying. I know THERE'S people that have gone w/out but i'd like to have anything that aids in repair since i'll be doing it again until an upgrade becomes available.
