Thread: gas question

anyone noticed a difference int here af ratio when using gas with ethanol ..vs ..non ethanol gas...???
just wondering...because ethanol has 50% less energy in it than regular gas.. so it should throw the af off buy 5% if it has 10% ethanol...
just wondering if that is some of my tuning issues...different amounts in differnent stations...never really thought about it until now but my af seem to change from one ride to the next...not much but some...
i know when we go to river ranch and get non ethanol gas it seems to run better...

ethanol sucks ass for supercharged 4 strokes !!!
less power, more detonation, and in marine enviro it absorbs moisture.
I avoid it as much as possible. If I have to use it, i add the blue StaBil Marine gas additive

I donno about you blokes in the states but on the pumps here have signs on the fuel bowsers that contain ethanol warning people not to use them in aircraft or watercraft.
I probably wouldn't use the fuel in my tank unless I had no other option or I knew I was going to use up most of the fuel on that day and not leave much in the tank over a long time.
I vaguely remember it requires about 15-20% more injector duty cycle when tuning???

usually reads may contain up to 10% ethanol
