If you are going to ride a motorcycle...
...Then don't be a moron, and not wear some type of protective gear...and jeans aren't protective gear. Irregardless of how stupid this accident was, the outcome could be the same for your average Hog rider in sunglasses and a wife beater.
I had a friend that just did a lowside (into the side of a police cruiser, no less), and ate up his arm pretty good. He's been riding for 15 years too.
This girl is lucky to be alive.

and just be safe...
friend of mine is paralyzed as of last wednesday night. Had an accident on his bike, and has no control over anything below his shoulders now at 22 years old forever. Had surgery to fix all the internal bleeding and repair his vertebrae and spine that was mangled like a mop. Another 3/4" up his spine and he would have been on a respirator the rest of his life.

And to think Kansas still doesn't have a helmet law.

The pain that poor girl went through is unbelieveable... I love sportbikes but everytime I see something like that I get turned off into getting one.
As a police officer I've seen a few like that and it worse than seeing a horror movie. I'll stick to my 93 Mustang GT.
