Magnet and pull from the side and gently or it will just come off the magnet.

a little tip for you mike , whenever working on your ski, place a rag down either side of the engine this way if you drop nuts bolts or even spark plugs they wont go under the engine and you can retrieve what you dropped with ease.

My fishing gear for under the engine parts. Works every time, assuming the dropped item will stick to a magnet. Some of the hull SS bolts are not magnetic, but the engine bolts (and spark plugs) are.

Usually takes a few "casts" and a little "trolling", but it's worked every time.

You could also try compressed air.I lost my coil electrical connector gasket under the motor a little shot with the air hose and I got it out. Good luck you will get it.

No problem Mike. How did that added IC line work out? Good? Are you still beating your buddies?
