Thread: Magneto problem!!!

Allright gang ran into a slight lil problem this past weekend with my Ultra 250. The supercharger belt decided to blow but while it was shreddin apart it decided to rip thru the wires that run from the magneto area/ back side of block up to the back side of the fuel rail area. Now i have enough there hangin out to splice n dice then back together but in which order, now all 3 wires are white coming out. Now does it matter which white wire is goin where or can i just splice it together and go? The only way to totally fix the wires is gonna be a royal pain in ass seeing you have to pull the moter to get to the magneto...I hope i can spilce it and roll. So if anyone has some imput on this...please chime in!! Thanks Mike

solder it and seal it up with waterproof heatshrink otherwise it will corrode very quickly.

Thats kinda what i was thinkin since all of them are white i figure they just branched off to feed power to 3 different things. Thanks

had the same thing happen to me only difference is mine only exposed the insulation on all 3 wires so i was ok, soldered them anyway and used heat shrink then 3m super 88 each wire then the bundle then put new conduit over them and rerouted them so when the belt takes a shit again it wont take out that harness.
