    From what i here there r 4 different ecu's 02-03 theirs was a R ecu (more aggressive timing ) and a F ecu .
Then they changed location of ecu and ecu was changed to a more sxpensive unit with a 4th plug i think. One again the R has a more agressive tune since ski is lighter and more agile.
None of this is facts (i have not done alot of research) its just alot of what ive read i the past year . Get with rick white he seems to know alot about the ecu types

i read that but i think it's bull.
The R has a different connector and wont fit on the F.

The F can be ordered from hondaeasttoledo.com

The second gen ecu gets better fuel economy. I remember JR mentioning that. Check out centralcyclepowersports. I tested 3 for Steve last fall so try contacting him too. He might have one left. They are first gen.

02 was f only. 03 was f and r. Different connectors. The 02 was upgraded to 305..thats what i was looking for used. new is 250 i think. The r ecu new is about 700 if irrc.

edit: in 2010 they were 250. Now honda wants 985 for same thing.

    bastards.
