2002 Polaris Genesis i intake grate removal
I have a broken bar on my intake grate and want to replace it. I took the screw of the front but cant get it to come loose from the hull. Is it glued on? Also, do I have to take the ride plate loose to get it out? Thanks.

The Genesis intake grate and ride plate are a different shape than all other Polaris PWC.
I have not removed a Genesis intake grate (there are no aftermarket grates for Genesis), but with all the others there is only a single bolt at the front that needs to be removed.
Often there is sealant holding the front to the hull, and the grate just needs to be pried away gently. Once the front is free, there may be sealant holding the grate into the slot at the ride plate. Lower the front of the grate slightly, then work it forward until it comes free.

Thanks! Yes it was my intention to post in the Polaris area, sorry I am still learning how to use the forum as this is my first one I ever been a member of. I will try to pry it loose and see if I can get it out. Thanks again for the information.
