max rpm on 155hp
A friend of mine just baught a 2005 wake edition with the 155hp.
Ski is very clean with only 100h. The only thing is it needed a wear ring (really worn out) and a prop (found out after replacing the ring that clearance was little over spec 0.025'' on leading edge but ok on trailing edge), the prop has been ordered and we are still waiting for.
I test drove his ski this week end and it felt really heavy and imo was lacking torque and his max speed was 55 mph (speedo) at 7400 rpm. Do you think replacing the prop with a good one will improve torque and top speed that much.
What rpm should I aim for with a 155hp?? (I know on a stock ecu a 215hp ski's it is 8100rpm).

i think that on the N/A engines they have a lower limiter, just like a GTI they are family skis so its limited to low rpm.
I believe thats as fast as he is going to get.

That seems to be spot on with the 155 wake edition i have ridden.

I was asking cause that is what I was able to get it to but I did not felt or heard the limiter (like I do on my 215hp).

Don't remember my top RPM's but the best I have ever gotten was GPS 56.1 with a NA 130hp. That was in perfect conditions. Wait and see where you are at with the prop, but you sound about right.
