How do you get the steering cable nut off the rear without removing the pump?
Is there a special tool to remove the large nut next to the pump that keeps the steering cable on? Thanks guys.

go to a home improvement store and buy a set of plumbing wrenches used for removing faucet valves ect..they are like 10 bucks and will remove the nut you are trying to get off..

There is a special tool that is used to remove that nut. I made one out of a peice of aluminum conduit. I took a peice of hex stock and formed the conduit around it to make a long socket if you will. But they also sell one. Maybe someone else will chime in because i cant remember if the vts nut and the steering cable nut are the same size. If they are then you can get the vts tool on the online store.

May be a little late, but I made a tool for the VTS nut ( should work for the stearing nut also ) using PVC. Just get a piece of pvc pipe a little bigger than the nut, heat it up then slip it over the nut and hold for a few seconds. There is a post here on how to do it, but I cant find it.
