    FZS.....which ride plate?

I have a new FZS and the only mod I have is the R&D grate with pump seal kit. I am wanting to add a ride plate....any ideas which one. Should I stick with R&D or Riva or a modded vx plate? I just want to add the most top mph without sacrificing anything otherwise and I want the easiest install if it varies and I want the speedo to still work if that varies. I only ride at the lake...any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Chuck

I think the VX plate modded by Jim might be your best bet. I don't have personal experience with it but for what you're trying to do it's probably your best bet. I have a buddy who went from 67.1 to 70.1 with the VX plate (not modded by Jim).

I sold my R&D Ride Plate. I am looking to sell or trade my RIVA Ride Plate for the Worx Ride Plate.

Depends on where you ride. For flat lake water get the Vx, for ocean get the R&D or Riva (the Vx jumps too much). There is no one fit all rideplate, you will need to sacrifice always something.

Is this definitely true? What about the VX with jims mod? After searching the forum I was just about to order a vx plate and get Jim to mod it- as I thought this was fine for ocean riding (but only after he has modded it).
I ride 90% in the ocean

The Vx plate was not designed for the ocean, I am pretty sure Jim can get you more speed with his modded plate but I would be surprise if it handles better in the ocean.

Almost all my friends have the Vx for the extra speed in flat water but all will tell you that the plate to have for the ocean is the R&D or Riva. The Vx plate needs to be ridden standing in the chop or the ski will jump too much. I can either sit or stand with my R&D plate and stay connected.

i have a stock vx plate fitted to my fzs and i mainly ride ocean chop and swells
and i find it no diferent in handling the chop than the stock fz plate
you do loose some of the sharp turning ability, but it's worth it for the extra 3 mph

Why do you prefer the Worx over the RIVA plate ?????
