    White water Rafting!!

    a few buddys and i went white water rafting this past weekend with a few others and man what that awesome!!

    class 5 going down the black river! in watertown ny

    here are a few pics!

    Defintely something everyone should do at least once. I had a chance to go on the New River near Fayetteville, WV about 20 years ago and had an absolute blast!!! I'd love the chance to do it again some day.

    Xlint, you're only about 5 hours from that location. They have excellent rapids and it's well worth the trip.

    we are talking about doing a bigger river in the spring! it was cheap fun.. we went up a day before and camped.

    it was about a 4 hour trip and then they had a chicken bbq for ya at the end!

    No, I don't think Deliverance was filmed in WV. I think it was filmed somewhere in east Georgia. I remember when the Olympics were in Atlanta there was a comedian talking about this because one of the canoeing/kayaking events was going to be held on that same river. He cracked a joke that if chubby Ned Beaty was violated on that river there was no way a Frenchman in pink spandex stood a chance.

    we did the same thing a few weeks back , just east of the rockies , glacier fed river . ours was class 4 plus ! got to do a cool 30 foot cliff dive as well ........
    horse shoe canyon. lots of movies filmed there including some scenes from legend of the fall , with brad pitt.

    serious fun .....

    got kind of close to a couple grizzly's as well while camping in the area ..

    i will for sure be doing that again! it was alot alot of fun.. water was decent to.. we where swiming in it for awhile as well

    Yeah, I know.

    My mom and my girlfriend have gone there. i just haven't made it YET....
