Throttle body assembly issue RXT 06

165 hour RXT 06 salt water use only.

A friend of mine's ski has been having a sticky throttle issue for a while....
The cable has been replaced and the throttle body has been 'cleaned and inspected' by dealership twice. (BRP spray and 'That should do it' ??)

    Anyway...

It looks like what is happening is all the salt water dries to some extent around the shaft and binds to the housing or something like that...

Is there a shaft rebuild kit? What size diameter rebuild kit is suitable?

    Thanks!

(It was funny but not at the same time, after the dealership cleaned it out the first time, my friend went out a couple of times and it was good... Them one time at the ramp he started her up about 10m from the shore... The thing took off up the ramp at about 1/2 throttle... Luckily no one was hurt and luckily he was insured)

the throttle body has not been serviced as it should, i've done loads, take the throttle body off remove the tps sensor, and the idc sensor put it in a bucket of oil overnight, cos you will not be able to get the screws out of the main brass butterfly which has the bearings either end, which need lubrication

Ohhhh but then I wouldn't get a brillant reply like that!

Cheers for that, I'll get onto the tools and have a look at it soon.

Mid 06+ BRP added a fogging port to the TB to help lube the shaft Its a tube that attaches to the engine cover with a yellow cap. They do offer a kit for the older skis.

My 07 GTX has this fogging tube, but my 2010 RXTX doesn't have it. I ride primarily ocean and wondering if I should fog the TB or maybe even the cylinders through the spark plug holes on a regular basis.
