Check out this new pump cone modification. No need for an expensive pump modification

TBM has just released their new pump cone for the FZ/SHO skis. This is going to be a great alternative to having your pump modified with more vanes and it's much cheaper.

No need to send anything in for modification. This is a complete bolt on system.
    Look closely at the pic.

This is much more than just a pump cone. It actually increases the diameter of the hub.

Does anyone know on a 75-78mph ish mild wheeled R1/R2 ski, what kind of difference in acceleration & top speed would you see?

Is it a good way to spend $500 or are there other bits necessary first?

Never changed a pump cone before.

So it slides over the stock hub with slots for the vanes?

    That's correct!

Introducing our Super Pump Cone for the Yamaha FZR/FZS/SHO Waverunners. Our Super Pump Cone increases the hub diameter and smooths the transition of water flow through the rough casting of the OEM stator vane assembly. This drastically improves hook up, acceleration and top speed on stock Waverunners although performance is enhanced exponentially as engine modification is increased. We have designed our Super Pump Cone to match the stock impeller; however any 75mm diameter hub aftermarket impeller will work. Our Super Pump Cone will also work in conjunction with Riva’s 160mm wear ring/impeller upgrade. This combination is an excellent affordable alternative to an $1800 aftermarket pump assembly. The kit comes complete with everything needed for installation with the exception of a spline tool for impeller removal/installation.

    very nice mod!! looks promising.

jerry the piece that slides over the hub is it one piece? also is it removable or can it be epoxied to the hub? id be afraid of corrosion between that piece and the hub for us salt water folks.

    thanks.
