15f valvetrain noise?

My 15f seems like the valvetrain is a little louder than it used to be? What is the valve clearance supposed to be on these? Then again I may just be paranoid it only has 22 hours on it. Over all I am very pleased with this machine ( just needs a little more topend )

My advice is to get sponsons. They make the biggest difference for the money on the 15f. I do not know how agressively you ride, but sponsons are adjustable and you should be able to find a "confortable" setting. I love being able to rely on my boat to just keep turning without breaking loose from the water until i either stop turning, or get thrown off from the g forces. About your engine noise. If the boat hasnt been modified before you got it, and you havent been tinkering around in their. It should be fine. The 15f has a hell of an engine in it. Ask anybody that owns a larger displacement ninja sport bike.

On a side note to Aaron. Where do you have your sponsons set to achieve max speed. Mine are all the way back because I like the way it goes through corners that way. Just wondering.

All mods will help. Look in your manual to see if it lists valve adjustment settings.

If you have a Owner"s manual its on page 120. Intake- 0.15-.024mm, Exhaust-0.22-0.31mm. Usually the clearance tightens up on a ohc engine, it doesn't increase.
