    Close call!

    5 hrs on a 2rude. I check my SC every other ride.. It payed off! I noticed I was only getting 13.2psi @ 8240rpm, could this be why?

    Good for you because I just lost one of those gold ones!! I will be checking mine often as heck now to!

    you will not loose much boost from the broken washer, but you are still lucky to find it,
    the new 2011 oem SC WASHERS ARE NOT COATED ANYMORE (hey are grey color) and made by ROTAX RACING, they are the best washers you can find on the planet.

    those gold washers always brake apart. I've seen many of those brake over time. What is your riding style choppy ocean or flat water mostly??...

    So what is the theory of why these washers are breaking? Are people leaning towards heat, shock,or pressure? Is a higher slip moment more or less likely to break your washers?

    this what happens when Bombardier tries to save a nickel or two, just like the ceramics, they knew about the problem but NEVER recalled it. They just redesigned them later in time.
