    Aaaaaarrrrrrr cavitation help

    I HAVE A 2003 GTX 185 SC AND HAVE HAD A NEW PROP, BEARINGS, SEALS AND SS WEAR RING FITTED AS I HAD CAVITATION ISSUES. AFTER THE MOD IT WAS WORSE AS THE PUMP IS WORKING BETTER ITS PULLING IN AIR FROM THE CARBON RING
    I SEE THAT SOME PEOPLE ARE REMOVING IT AND CHANGING TO ANOTHER SYSTEM MY QUESTION IS WHERE DO I GET ONE? WILL IT SORT THE PROBLEM? AND AFTER READING A FEW THREADS I THINK THERE ARE TWO DIFFERANT MODELS, ONE HAS A DRIVE SHAFT MOD AND THE OTHER IS A STRIGHT FIT?

    I DID THE ZIP TIE TRICK THAT I GOT FROM U GUYS AND IT HAS HELPED BUT NOT GONE

    ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT

    The Zip ties are only a bandaid to the roblem. I suggest you to get a new carbon ring and a new boot and you should be good to go.

    you will need to borrow a engine aligment tool, if not it doesnt matter what seal carrier you use either the skat trak, rad4, or just the carbon ring, with bad alignment you will slowly mess this items up, and eventually sink your ski.

    My advice to you is go with the carbon ring, if it ever goes bad, you ski wont sink as fast as it would on a seal carrier, and plus seal carriers you must grease them after each ride, and if you ride salt water stay away from them.

    I have a brand new Skat Trak seal carrier that I have not installed yet, I'm running the carbon ring with no cavitation.
    everytime I look at that skat seal carrier I think twice, of the risk I could take running it.
    how ever when I run it, I will go and buy some rubber hose instead of using the silicone coupler they sent with it.

    Good advice thanks, I will go with a new boot and ring and check alignment.
