upgraded SL650 to 750. Do I need to swap stator?

Hey guys. I changed my 94 SL650 to a 750. I know the timing is different, and I need a 750 CDI. What about the stator? Can I just adjust the timing of the existing 650 stator, or do I need to swap it out completely?

It is a different part number? But I have never heard of anyone having to swap! also you can use just about any Fuji stator in any Fuji motor so I wouldn't sweat it! Z

What does the number 65w95 mean on the back of a polaris stator?

There are different part numbers for 650 and 750. Why? The testing specs are the same. The wattage output is the same according to my repair manual. Anybody got an idea?

I think it works BUT what you can do is call John at Jet Ski Solutions and ask him the exact internal differences. He rebuilds the Polaris stators and he'll be able to tell you what the scoop is.
Post back what he tells you, I'm curious.

    Stators

All 650, 750 & 780 stators are interchangeable.. There were numerous upgrades, but a 650 stator will work with a SLX 780 CDI, etc. The 785 Pro flywheel and stator are different, but they will work with a 650 CDI.

I have a number of stators for various SL. I'd like to verify any of them will work with my engines. Do you have a phone # for me to contact him? Thanks

I emailed the guy, and he said he knows of no difference. Guess I'm OK.
