    Dirty injectors, from old stail fuel.

    My 2007 Seadoo gti se 155hp ski has been sitting with the same fuel in it for over a year. I just got here up and runnig,but she wont idle correctly and spudders alot on acelleration, and wont spin all the way up. my question is this can i use, chevron with techron fuel injector cleaner on my ski, to clean up the injectors. If any one has any advice please chime in with similar expirances , and corrections made to fix this problem.

    I use Sea foam at the recommended dose every time I take my boat out of winter storage. Keeps her running great.

    its almost a must on the 4tecs every season, even if they look new.

    I don't sweep rooms in the dark and therefore, I don't use stuff to supposedly clean injectors. They might not work or even if they do, how do you know what is going on? On my Vette, I pull out the injectors every so often and have them cleaned, tested and balanced. They will check the solenoids out and see if the spray pattern is good. Anything else is a SWAG as to whether it is good enough or half assed, IMO.

    You can have bad fuel or bad injectors that foul the plugs.

    yeah, i agree with the plugs.

    i replace after the first ride of every season and sometimes 1/2 way through the season. keep a bunch on hand, they are cheap anyway.

    Trust me, for some reason after these skis sit up for a while the plugs go bad..... even though they look great.

    let us know what happens

    Why is that? Why not before the first ride? That is what I do. Is there some benefit to the first ride?
