am i losing boost where the hks bov connects to riva intercooler?

after taking a look today i notice you can move the bov around its not real loose but its movable i see the clip doesnt look completely set to me on the side close to the hull which is a bitch to get to..around the base of the bov where the clip is i see some dark buildup coming out from intercooler from not being sealed good? can i be losing boost there?

Use some soapy water and check for bubbles. I had to seat my C-Clip to ensure to held.

If you can move it, you are losing boost and the BoV will come off. Have someone push down on the BoV while you try to spread the C clamp open with a Phillips screwdriver and a hammer/mallet. That is how we got it to spread to it's full capacity. Also if you look at the C clamp it goes in a certain way. You should not be able to move it once it is in properly.

You absolutely can rotate the BOV around even when it's seated correctly. It takes a lot of force, but it is movable. To make it even more movable put a thin layer of oil on the o-ring before installing the BOV and c-clip. You do need to make sure the c-clip is down in the groove of the BOV flange, but you can look in there to see that assuming you are mounting the BOV before installing the IC in the hull.

Agreed. It "can" be moved, but with a lot of force. They way he is making it sound, it is not fully expanded and he can turn it easy.

Does this mean that you can move it to stop the rattle it has when turning? I was thinking about putting some foam or something between the BOV and the hull

Well the clip to mount the blow off valve is hard to put on properly I have mine directly on my riva intercooler and the first time I put it on I took it or a test run bluw of the intercooler
