    QUESTION FOR GREEN HULK

Jerry---I know of a friend who has close contacts with a foundry. My question to you is--With your internet site--could enough aluminum 4tec blocks and heads be sold to the public to make it worthwhile to engauge in a project like this. The weight savings would be considerable.
I am considering several other ideas to put the RXP/RXT on a serious diet. Let me know what you think.

WHOA!!! I think if they could cast some heads with bigger ports there would definately be a market for them.

The foundry would not get involved with finishing the ports and passages--I remenber you saying something about sending your heads off to someone named Mark if I remenber correctly to have him upgrade your stock heads. Maybe he could perform the modifications. Someone would also have to be located to machine the raw blocks. With the aluminum engine---carbon fiber upper deck---all parts above the rub rail--I figure the boat can be brought down under 700 lbs. That would equal to adding 30 to 40 hp to the motor. Your thoughts???

Why would these blocks/heads be any lighter than the aluminum block/heads already on the engine?

Jerry---I have not done any engine/head work on my RXP. I am assuming they are iron block/head. Am I wrong on this? If I am wrong--I am highly embarrased--lol. Please enlighten me.
