Newbie Question engine swap
I am new to the forum and new this year to jet skiing. I purchased a 1996 seadoo gs with a 720 engine. It runs great but the hull leaks a bit and the bottom is a bit rough. there is someone selling a 1998 seadoo gtx hull with no plumbing, engine, or electricity. will my engine fit in it and would it even be worth the trouble. i am pretty mechanically inclined but i need to hear from the pro's
Thank you in advance

It can work out since SeaDoo has the GTI model this is a 3 seat watercraft that came with a 720 engine. The 1999 GTX hull has the engine mounts are located diferent than the one that came with a 720 engine so you will need to relocate and drill new holes or make a base to fit the mounts. Also you will have fun running all the electrical components to the GTX hull . Very Important that the pump support from the GTX is Bigger than the GS so you will want to get one from a GTI or a GTS model or try using a diferent propeller Hope this helps.
