    That is a nice system and all, but how will it work when my skis are stored inside and there is ZERO communication with any Satt?

    If your skis are stored in doors then they are safe and sound, but if a thief breaks in and takes your skis the minute they are in the open FIN will receive a satellite signal and you will be alerted by text and/or email and tracking can begin.

    I get what you're saying.

    Keep in mind you get an alert within 5 seconds of your ski being moved. Tracking begins immediately.
    The ski will be tracked all the way back to the thief's hide out, if they even get that far before police apprehend them. If they do make it back to the hide out then the police will arrest them there and recover your stolen property.

    FIN has much more coverage than Lojack. Here's a comparison

    FIN sounds like a great product;

    Just a thought - with the increased theft of skis nowadays how about generating a "Report Stolen Goods" menu perhaps in the Miscellaneous section.

    By having a dedicated thread, we'll have one common place to see what Hulksters report stolen. This will hopefully spread the word extremely fast & quite possibly help in the recovery of stolen goods.
