How do I loosen the drive shaft for removal?

I need to get the drive shaft off my 2003 GTX SC so I can remove the motor and can't quite figure out how to get it off. Anyone know how to get off? Thanks!

    Jag,

Give me a call on my cell at 307-0770 and I'll walk you through it instead of all the typing.

leave the pump in, and try to move the floating ring to the rear(compressing the rubber boot), then pull the circlip off the shaft. Next pull the pump. and give a good tug on the shaft, and wha-la....out it comes.

Hey Jay, thanks! I just called but it went to voicemail. The pump was already out and the motor already detached from the motor mounts when I got it. I can feel the end of the shaft and I'm pretty sure I can pull the motor without pull the shaft out. Any advice before I do that? Thanks everyone - this is my first take apart...

That's be great - I have the 2004 shop manual on CD but not the 2003, I'd also like the 2005 for my RXP if you have it too.

Jay, thanks for the help last night! I'm glad we got to talk about our skis. I got the motor out after considerable irritation before figuring out that I could take the intake manifold off so it would actually fit coming out ot the ski! I took every single thing off that ski...I know how to take them apart now - next step is to see if I can put one back together! Thanks again for the help!

Cool, just give a holler if you need anything. Have a safe trip tomorrow and bring some of that FL sunshine back with you on Tuesday because my wife and I are heading to Massanutten on Friday....
