OCTOBER 1, 2010 – Lake Havasu, Arizona – BRP culminates the 2010 Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty racer contingency program next week at the annual IJSBA World Finals with the Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty “BRAKE THE BANK” invitational. The BRAKE THE BANK invitational will pit the top Sea-Doo watercraft racers from around the world in a hot lap challenge aboard the new RXT-X aS 260 (adjustable Suspension) model for $1000. The special 2010 Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty event is only a part of the festivities at the world’s largest annual PWC event taking place in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, October 4th-10th.

Select 2011 watercraft models will be on display at the Sea-Doo “X-TEAM Race Shop” in Performance Alley as BRP comes to the event as the largest supporter of PWC racing. BRP is posting $10,300 in Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty contingency funds for racers competing successfully in specified classes aboard Rotax 4-TEC powered Sea-Doo watercraft. The 2010 racing season has proven to be a measurable one for Sea-Doo watercraft racers in the Pro Stock class with Troy Snyder claiming both the HydroTurf and Toyota National Championships aboard his Sea-Doo RXP-X model.

Snyder leads the 2010 Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty program earnings and is the number one seed in the special BRAKE THE BANK invitational competition. He will be joined by: Cody Hawkins (US), Eric Lagopoulos (US), Rick Kantola (US), Lee Pham (US), Joe Bohaczek (US), Sam Harvey (NZ), Kylie Ellmers (AUS), James Bushell (UK), Norito Nakano (JAP), and Deninho Casarini (BRA).

Each racer will compete on the new Sea-Doo RXT-X aS watercraft to post their fastest one-lap time, but there’s a twist. Being equipped with the world’s only PWC braking system, each competitor will have to use the iBR (intelligent Brake & Reverse) system immediately after crossing the finish line and come to a stop before a set of penalty buoys. If they do not stop in the designated iBR zone, the competitor will suffer a two-second penalty. The winner of the Sea-Doo X-TEAM Bounty BRAKE THE BANK event will win a BRAKE THE BANK trophy and $1000 from BRP.

BRP and Walt’s Motorsports will also be offering test rides on the new CAN-AM Commander side-x-side vehicles at Crazy Horse Campgrounds, the event venue. The Commander is the most powerful and technologically advanced off-road, side-x-side vehicle on the market. The Commander Experience will be open from 9:30 – 4:30 Thursday, October 7th – Saturday, October 9th and from 9:30 – 2:30 on Sunday, October 10th. To register for a special Can-Am Commander VIC (Very Important Customer) test ride visit

The difference between Sea-Doo and the competition is measureable, both on the racecourse and off. It is as simple as the difference between first and second place.
