Steering pad tip and mods
I am having my hood and side panels painted silver. So I came up with a good Idea (I think) for the steering pad. I bought a piece of black marine vinyl and covered the red. Just thought I would share that it can be done as opposed to painting the vinyl. The boost guage mount was Suckmywakes Idea. I heated it with a heat gun to shape it in. And the lighted switch will be for the blower I install in the rear to get rid of hot air in the hull.

I got the pod off ebay for 12 bucks shipped. they have them at pep boys for 24 (ripoff) I used a belt sander to shape the edges and cut off the excessive material. and then the heat gun to fit it tighter.

My new hood color preview. Custom made with air scoop. Got a GREAT painter here in Illinois for painting parts at a good price.

Here is my home made catch can. I bought the PVC, fitting, and drain petcock from Home depot, and the breather from pep boys. total cost 18 bucks. I took the factory hose bracket, drilled a couple holes in it, and riveted the catch can on.
