    fzr mod quest

question for the guys with the moded skis
2010 fzr with the ribbon removed and the intercooler spacer installed
ide like a little advice about a sc wheel and ecu mods?
ive ordered a c3 wheel an intake grate and the 13/22r impeller
will i need to either install a fuel press reg kit or do in need a ecu mod or powershot
i will be checking the afrs once installed
    any direction would be fantastic
    thanks

    Welcome to the forum!

First off, get that intake grate in the ski--prioritize this #1.

I have the C3 then went with the R2 reflash and I also went with the Powershot and Riva fuel pressure regulator. There are some that run the R2 without the Powershot and FPR but I installed them prior to installing my R2. Whatever you do, check AFR's as mine was something like 10.0 or less at WOT when I took mine out the first time with the mods. Just needed to lower my FPR pressure and all was good.

Next up for me is an intercooler.

If you go the reflashed ECU route, you will not need a FPR with the C3 wheel. I do not run one in my ski. It's easiest to just leave the stock one in there.

Only time I would run one is if you find through testing that you need one, otherwise it's just one more thing you have to adjust and mess with.

Do the intake grate. A lot of people have had it (the buck) happen with the stock grate. It happened to me, but I was not hurt like a lot of people have been. The ribbon delete and intercooler changer with a better flowing intake and exhaust make a huge difference. Check the pitch on the prop.

do you think i could get away with the stock ecu and a 13/24 or 25 and keep the revs off the limiter with the c3?

putting on the ride plate this weekend will let you know how it goes
buy the way ive never had a buck experience and have been riding fzr and sho's for the past two years in the ocean and up the river
although they stop quite quickly when your going 65mph and come off the throttle
    thanks for the info

13/25 maybe. Mind you , when I had my e1 and stock ecu ,it still banged and limiter given that an e1 is a bigger wheel. Where is Australia you from mate??

welcome first of all. i would go with a skat prop poss 13/24 for the set up you suggest. i found a lot of bottom end cavitation with the solas.
