Thread: remove engine?

All right, I'm done riding for the year so I'm moving forward with my winter project....One thing I'll be doing is stripping the hull down to be repainted and the bottom trued........I'm removing all the plastic moulding, rub rails, foot mats basically down to just the hull.....I'm also removing the head from the engine for a port and polish and the installation of light weight valves springs and retainers.....my question is once all fluids are removed from the engine is it safe to flip the hull or should I just go ahead and pull the engine out?

You need to remove the engine, the motormounts are not strong enough to hold the engine in upside down......
