Did you use auto paint or spray bomb it?
I cant tell if the paint job has any orange peal in pic
Also on the plastic did you add adhesion promoter to keep it from pealing?

its automotive paint sprayed out of a binks hvlp gun. its white base with tangerine candy one top of that and clear on top of that it also has red flakes in it but the way the sun was you can really see them. in the direct sun it sprakels nice. lol i dont have orange peel i been painting for like 5 years thats what i do for a living is automotive paint jobs

I've always thought about doing a paint job like that. I was thinking a metallic silver base, a candy orange midcoat, then a gold flake clear would look killer. Not sure I am talented enough to pull it off though. You obviously have a done this type of work before and it shows.

I am thinking about painting mine next year after I know everything mechanical is replaced and up to par.
I painted a ski once when I was doing body work and it sucked prepping it. we only painted the top but it took forever. Part of it was my boss wanted me to use gray 3M pad and not sand it. I could not get a scratch on the gel coat so I would use the red when he was not looking.
Did you just sand it all down with 600?

no i used a razor to take all the stickers off first the sanded down the rough spots with a da sander then sanded it all bye hand with 400 grit paper and painted it
