If I remember right, add another $800. This is a logging dash & is about the same price you'd pay for a Motec SDL WITHOUT the logging unlocked, & the Racepak also has a GPS speedo included which I believe is an additional add-on with the Motec.

BTW, it's not a Vipec product but will be wired to log from the Vipec ECU.

i think they said will cost around $2500. made by Racepak? model IQ3? pretty steep but probably close to the cost of individual gauges plus it has a cool sd card for logging. wondering how glare will effect view in full sun and if it's prone to condensation during hot humid days. no mounting kit available yet either. wondering if this is an adaptation of a similar logger offered for different types of racing applications? If so, performance/satisfaction history?

Last I saw the IQ3 logger was about $1,300. So double it.

i found that we can directly connect to USB /CAN protocol for any custom dash purpose,
cost can be cheap at around $100 for microcomputer and LCD display, misc electronic part,

too much $ spend for that logging and display unit,
Vi-PEC already have logging capability in ECU itself ,just hook up notebook and download it.

Optional clear splash guard is available for offshore use. Covers sides and front of unit. $89.95 Retail.
Shouldn't this thing be waterproof for this application?

At that price is damn well better be.
I guess for some reason they wanted to offer some addtional protection for the demigod offshore riders for an additional cost.

Don't want to sound like a jerk but the "water resistant" reminds me of my PET 2100 that stopped working.
