In need of a 94 polaris wiring schematic. PLEASE!!

Hello. I just came across this great site. It looks promising that someone on here might be able to help with the mess I have. I just purchased a 94 polaris 750 that has a wire going to the electronics box that has been melted all to bujesus. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks Scott.

    Welcome to the Hulk crowbar

The common occurrence is for the plastic battery cover to go missing, then the battery shorts to the electrical box shell. This melts the stator Black ground wire.

Have a look through my signature links. Should get you going in the right direction

    Welcome to the hulk.

Like K447 mentioned, the links at the bottom of his posts are VERY informative. Take the time to look through them and get familiarized with your ski.

    Thanks K447

Thanks for all the great info! The links are great!
You hit it dead on. I think it is the stator ground wire, It's burnt all the way to the front of the motor.
I'm afraid to ask this next question. How do I go about replacing the wire and what are the chances it took the stator out when it shorted out???

    Thanks, Scott

You can pull the wire out of the bundle and go back as far as you need to to get clean copper, splice a new wire in and you are good to go. IF the short burned the wire all the way to the coil, then you likely have a bad coil as well.

Pull the wires and see where you are. If you have to, pull the engine. Stator is behind the Flywheel, so you will have to pull it all apart

I found the wire, It is burnt all the way to the coil. I pulled the cover off and put my puller on the flywheel as tight as I could. I have willed it to come off many times so far with no luck, Think the tank is next to be removed,so I can put the torch on it. A person would think Polaris would have installed a fuseable link somewhere on this wire ??

It sometimes takes a LOT of force to get the flywheel to let go. Put the flywheel nut back on the shaft a few turns, so the flywheel doesn't damage anything or hurt anyone when it lets go

Leave it sit under tension, sometimes it just takes some time to release (hours or days). Retighten it every few hours, as best you can.
