    Hydrolock by Fogging

Being new to PWC and storage maintenance in general I've been reading up on how to fog my 05 RXP. In a number of posts I've read where people pull the fuel rail and spark plugs they state that they fog for 10 seconds down each hole. I did this and could literally see the fogging oil in the combustion chamber pooled.

Wouldn't this be no different than hydrolocking your motor? I'm almost tempted to just siphon out the oil to be safe. What do you guys think?

Very good point. Too much fogging oil can hydrolock your motor. If you are concerned about it siphon it out before starting to be safe.

fog it, crank it over a bunch to spread it on the cylinder walls, fog it again and put the plugs in. By spring time most of the fog will have worked it way past the rings. you would have to put a lot more than 10 seconds worth in to hydrolock the motor.

Are you supposed to crank it while the plugs are still in?

Last winter, I did in fact hydrolock my motor with fogging oil. Just leave the injectors out, put a towel over the holes, hold the throttle and then hit the start button. That will blow the oil right out.

Then spray fogging oil in there, less than 10 seconds, about 5 seconds. Put fuel injectors in, hold them there, crank engine over while holding throttle. Then repeat this a couple of times

    Keep the plugs in.

No. crank it with the plugs out, and then spray a bit more fog down, and then put the plugs back in, and see it next spring.
