Aftermarket Rectifier/regulater - anybody try them?
I see after market rectifiers available on ebay for the DI/RFI seadoos. Anybody use one? They are about half price.

make sure your rectifier is the problem, what i mean is something else probalby caused your rectifier to die, especially on a DI ski.
when you put in a new rectifier it will still not work right.
i did put in an aftermarket rectifier. it works fine, problem was bad ground wires in the DI system.
thanks to derrick !! i dont mind shamelessly plugging a great independent mechanic.
he took the extra time to go thru the DI systems and got my ski running again. dealer said "new engine" "bad crank bearings" "crank wobble"
it was just sme poor connections in the grounding wires in the DI complicated electronics system

aftermarket rectifiers are fine.
also available is the 4tec rectifier, much beefier and better output, much less strain on teh system. especially good for the DI skis, as so much draws from the 12 v system.
somebody sells a full 4tec rectifier converted to plug right into the 2 stroke DI plugs
no splicing required 149 i think was the price.
now that i know all that i would probalby buy the 4tec conversion.
