With all the HP these days...
and the performance and price of these machines, has anyone considered Deep Cryogenic Tempering?
There are those out there that are doing it, but they're not talking about it. (this I know... some big names too)
Just wondering out loud.

I know of a place that does that with aluminum baseball bats (Baseball Express). They claim it makes the bat perform better (more ball speed) and last longer/be more durable (less likely to dent).
Sounds interesting though.

I've used it on plenty of watercraft engines. I chose to do the crank/case/pistons.
There is no "speed" involved. Things just last longer.

Absolutely Mark. I know theres no real speed to be had, I was just thinking of making the parts stronger and reducing wear time. I like the whole idea of extra strength and increased wear time on the higher than average performance machines these days.
