Great idea, very functional. As I said, Kwakka are very wise in there new design, as 250 owners are also looking to upgrade to new specs. 300lx will be a great choice for new PWC buyers, as it now has all the fruit. Exciting times, hopefully be riding with more Kwakka people. We are few and far between at the moment.

Although very useful looking, I think it's hideous.

You would have to order LX pad for Ultra but it will bolt right up. It also has a bracket or a insert for when no gps is in use.
I think it is a good functional placement for the gps.

Are any of the GPS units that would fit the handlebar mount really waterproof? How many models are available that will fit the mount correctly? If there were no way to hookup the GPS to the watercrafts 12 volt elec supply the built in GPS battery would discharge all too quickly.

I seriously doubt that Kawasaki built this thing without any waterproof GPS units that would fit in it. A far as discharging the battery quickly, that assumes you plan to use the GPS 100% of the time. Given the ski already comes with a dreamometer the only real value of the GPS is for exact measurements (e.g. for top-speed runs/etc). If you use the GPS sparingly I don't think you will have an issue with having to replace batteries very often.

I can almost garrantee a GPSMAP 76CSx was the GPS of choice for Kawi
same size as the GPS the seadoo uses

yes its water proof IPX7 rated
    typical battry = 18 hrs
yes it has option for a 12v battry lead with water proof connectors..........may need to mode the bar pad ......

I have this exact unit and can use it with Map source and get a atleast 12 + hrs run time

    Waz
