    4-tec supercharger engine revs but wont move!!! Please Help!

    hey, guys

    06 sportster 4-tec supercharger engine 215hp
    i took the boat out i was jumping waves when i lost power and engine over reving after 3000rpm enigne over revs and prop stops spinning. inspect engine area found 2 broken motor mounts suspect stripped drive shaft possible damaged to prop. would i need any alignment tool or any other special tools, is this a hell of a job. any performance parts that i could swapt for speed while i'm here. STOP WHAT YOUR DOING RIGHT NOW AND INSPECT YOUR MOTOR MOUNTS!!!.

    Jumpin waves in a sportster? you're nuts.
    best way to figure this problem out is pull the pump. sounds to me like the seal on the impeller went bad or came off and the grease in there washed away causing the shaft and impeller to strip out. hardest part is getting the steal ring for the carbone seal off the shaft. you should use and alignment tool but you can probably get away with eyeballing it

    If you found two broken motor mounts..... your engine more than likely shifted forward stripping out your drive shaft and the prop.

    +1 and I dont think those are good for wave jumping bro.

    New driveshaft,impeller and motor mounts may do it.

    it was rough out there and it kept jumping it was not done intentionally, i did noticed some oil floating on the hull by enigne driveshaft area, how ofter should u change the pump oil every 50hours and what type of oil. thanks

    The oil is most likely from the bearing and seal on the pto cover where the drive shaft connects to the engine. This oil is actually engine oil. You will need to pull the pump and drive shaft to inspect/replace parts.

    To do it correctly when replacing engine mounts you will want the alignment tool to make sure everything is lined up.

    hello, tanks all for your help!

    do i need to remove the supercharger to remove the pto cover, i was planing on marking the shims on the motor mounts and replace one by one can i get way with this. what does this drive shaft connects to on the engine side a couppling this might have gotten damaged too.

    i notice there's some brocken plastic tabs in front of the impreller should i replace that black piece. thanks

    You can grind out the "sharks teeth" flush and that should work fine. You don't want them in there if they are chipped or broken. You don't need to replace the part unless the part is damaged or cracked.
    From your photo it looks like the front edge is cracked/split. If that is the case it will need to be replaced.
