    Winter Projects for 2010-2011 season.

Whats your projects for the winter time? Any new builds, installs, paint jobs, mods going on?

    I have a few pending..

Carbon fiber my tunnel on the Pro
    Add carbon fiber Dash Plate
Add gps mount to the steering
Get race motor repaired and built ready to drop in
Make a fiberglass mold for my carbon fiber hood project(I have an extra perfect hood)
Make a hood from scratch-carbon fiber
Repair any gouges in the hull
    Recover the seat
Fix a couple chips from hitting the dock(water was lower than the dock was and ended up underneath it
    Install hood latches
Paint the console black and fix the scratches in it
Lower the primer line deeper in the hull so the line is full all the time.
Remove Muffler and install the" UJUSTLOST" elbow.
Re-paint the very front black area in front of the hood.
Remove umi pad and re-cover it. its split open.

Then bring the 2000 1200SLX to the surface and get er in the water as spring hits and see what she'll do. she fires right up. I need a 6-vane for it but i have one that can work , needs some f=grinding to finish it off so the blades are smooth. I had it welded. if thats doesn't work, i'll have to buy one or steal the pros for a day.

I hope I find the money and time for all this.lol

SLT780 needs minor adjustments to the carbs. Wash is good but still have some blubbering at 1/4 throttle until it leans out a bit and takes off. As best I can figure I neglected to properly check flatness of the arm for the needle and the diaphragm is pushing on it causing low pop-off when the carbs are assembled. I think when I did these carbs I checked pop-off without the diaphragm installed.

SLT750 just needs the wash checked and minor carb adjustments.

SL750 setting in the garage needs carbs rebuilt, fuel pump upgrade kit installed, new stator installed, and new fuel and oil lines installed. Thankfully I have all parts on hand, I just need to make time to do the work. Most likely this ski will just go on the auction block or classifieds and sell it.

The SeaStar runabout is going to get some finish work to hopefully remove chalk. I plan to wet sand it, use a high speed buffer and rubbing compound, then polish and wax. Find a reasonable wakeboard tower and install that.

I think that about does it.

My wife's ski is done, other than to put on the OP F/A's and change a couple jets and retune. All stuff that will have to wait until spring.

My SL project on the other hand needs:

    Cylinders bored
    Crank assembled
    Engine assembled
    Head machined for BIG pistons
    Fuel pump (pentagon triple outlet)
    Hull painted
    Seat recovered
    Ocean Pro ride plate
    Intake grate
    Impeller
    Carbs (44mm)
    Primer
    Extended pump tube and spacer
    Trim motor
    Bilge pump

Really, not too much, just one piece at a time...

My first project is to redo my Moto Marine 785 top to bottom the motor is already out .I need to finish clearing out the hull and start getting it ready for paint . The motor is out and i have a BRAND New Polaris factory race team crank for it ,it needs one cylinder redone .
I hope to see a good 67-70 mph out of it when i'm done

Next repaint the new Matrix and go through the whole boat and double check everything and replace all fuel and water hoses and check the pipes for any wear from rubbing .

next finish the little things on the Pro 1200 and get some domes cut by Randy to bring the compression up to 200lb so the pipes will work there magic and repaint the bottom of it .

Last but not least Build a new motor for the 1350 matrix ,i'm going to have a Stock MSX motor built up for it after riding the red Matrix there is no reason to build another 1350 when you can build a 1200 motor to run the same speed and even faster then a 1350 in my case .

Hope i get it all done

Oh yeah last but not least repaint the rear deck of Micks Green 785
