went with d-plate gpr still slow
hey a few weeks ago i posted about my gpr not going above 55-57. it seemed the general consciences was to pull the cat and replace with a d plate and the temp sensor . which i did and i gained 1 MPH now i run at 58 which is an improvement but still not the stock 64 im looking for. im running premix at 40:1. trim works other than that the ski is bone stock testing it on glassy water.... where do i go from here??

check the compression. if they are all around 120, preferably 125 or so, then id suggest looking at the carbs being dirty.
my compression was at 120 on my 01 and it would do 63 on the speedo which was about 58 gps from what i hear, and i rebuilt it, and now it does 67 which is closer.
if you think the stock speedo is off much, try getting a gps reading. let us know what your compression ratio is too

compression is 120 across the board just rebuilt the engine

did you look at having you carbs redone? my stockers had 107 hours on them, i sent them to osidebill (membername) he rebuilds carbs for all of us, and he found allot of corrosion in mine from ethanol in fuel. that would be my next guess. other than that look in your pump and see if your impeller and wear ring have any dings missing or anything crazy going on.
try having the variable trim in neutral, and doing a superman on the ski, hold into it for a bit and see if you can get it higher. the key is having as much weight back as you can so you get more of the ski out of the water.
you can also look and make sure your ride plate isnt hanging too low and that everything is square
check to make sure your wot is actually wot. i only say this because mine before went all the way to the grip before i tightened the cable some and now theres a little gap, which is the way i want it. if the cable stretches i can see it not being full WOT

thats a good one, make sure theres no cat pieces in the exhaust. he said compression was 120 on all 3.
