Weatherproof HD Pocket Video Camera $49

I know this isn't performance related, but Office Depot has the ZxD HD pocket video camera on sale for $49 !!! It seems to be a pretty cool camera, especially for the $. Sorry to waste a thread, but I figured if anybody was contemplating getting one for whatever or their ski, this is a hard deal to pass up. I bought mine today locally, they had it in stock.

Says weatherproof right on the front of the camera. Look at the images of the unit.

The Kodak® ZxD Digital Video Camera is "water resistant"

The Kodak PlaySport HD is the waterproof one.

I paid an additional $7.99 for the replacement in the event something was to happen. As long as I bring it in, or pieces of it in, he said it was covered. If it falls off and sinks...then I''m S.O.L. lol I figured for $49.00 it was worth a shot to try and get some better video than I've taken with my piece of crap waterproof phone.

At the base of the unit there appears to be a tapped hole for standard threads where it was designed to be attached to a pedestal mount. It looks like a 1/4 x 20 just by looking at it. I'll double check tomorrow when I get an opportunity and run a bolt in it. Being there is already a hole that will support a mounting bolt, it should be simple to install and mount. It's just a preference of where you want it mounted I guess. I'll try and get mine done before the weekend if time allows.

the tripod mount is made of plastic so be careful because they strip real easy since you have to crank it tight or it will start to spin on you. The playsport is what I use on the front mount and it will last up to 1:45:00 on a single charge using 6.5gb in HD720 @ 60fps or 7gb in HD1080, $139 bux at walmart. For the other cam, 49 bux is a good price for a throw away camera meaning, you're not losing much if it sinks.
