Riva engine breather????
Hi does the engine breather from riva have and benefit and make any difference??

As far as i am aware a breather filter normally fitted to the rocker cover is there to allow any gasses wish pass the rings into the sump to vent out of the top so the sump does not biuld any pressure up or it can blow things like sump and rocker gaskets. therefore if it allows tha gas to pass it does its job so i dont see any benefit other than to stop dirty air feeding back into the inlet. that would put dirty warm air back in which is the opposite to what an engine needs. so in answer to your question not really buy one of e bay it will do the same job...... spend your pennies on expensive performance parts...

Cheers mate.... I've done that but run out of parts to buy lol..... I've got a good set up but just can't get the best from it at the mo.... Needs tweaking lol

All it does is replaces the breather hose that connects to the intake with a filter cone, so you aren't sucking hot crankcase vapor into the intake.

ahhh thanks $45 for a crankcase filter is steep!
