i have a 08 and i can only get about 12lbs of boost on a rude 3 and a et 140 10lbs i tested the intake and their was no signs of leak

This may be a stupid question, but did you check the slip?

could be the gauge. and what rpms are you spinning?

There definitely has to be a boost leak somewhere. Another thing to look for is your SC Slip. Make sure the chargers are holding slip.
What RPM's where you getting with it?
10-18-2010, 02:41 PM #5
I am running 8450 rpm and the rude is freshly rebuilt slipping at 20lbs
on my friends ski the et is boosting 17lbs

Does it feel like it's boosting weak? Have you rode the other ski? Perhaps your manifold is split bro. Check over all of that.
The ET will not deliver 17lbs of boost to my knowledge.

It will get to 10lbs of boost pretty quick and that it after that maybe 12lbs at 8450
i removed the intake and tested for leaks but found no signs of leak

If it were a leaky intake you would hav a high idle. My guess is that it is between the sc and the TB. Probably either a loose clamp or if running an XS/ fizzle cooler I'd guess you are missing the bolt that plugs the hole on the side of the cooler opposite of the bracket. If none of these hold true then the next question would be is it making good power? What prop are you turning? IF your turning a 15/22+ I would say it is making more than 12 lbs and you probably have a bad gauge.

I do have the xs cooler i will check the screw on the side.the prop is a 15/22 and i bought a new gauge today and will try it thanks for the info
