    07 250X cut off at WOT

    Yesterday when I took my ski out after putting on a new fuel pump and exhaust gasket it ran at about 58mph which is horrible because I have a RIVA Stage 1 kit but was still better than before, I was doing some WOT passes and then the ski just died at WOT. When i started it, it wouldn't go above 2,000 RPMs and was stuttering. If i let off the throttle it would shut off. What could possibly be the problem with my ski ???????

    so u have the full stg 1 kit air box etc ?

    Waterdude, I feel for you, why are you excepting mediocrity performance from your craft? Please take it to a good dealer and get it fixed, or you could be chasing ghosts forever.

    That's the thing about where I live in Trinidad. There are NO good mechanics and when I say no I mean NONE at all. I guess I'll just have to stick to mediocrity.

    Ok lets start at the begining and try to solve your prob's

    A. Did it run at full speed BEFORE you put the new fuel pump in ?
    b. Why did u need to change the fuel pump
    c. did u change anything else when changing the fuel pump ?

    Have u blocked the BOV off ?
    Have u checked your belt tension

    Waz

    Ports blocked in the throttle body from GIO? [ had that before] Coil breakdown?[ doubt it , can check resistance difference between both coil sets, should be the same ohmic value]...... It will not keep running without the throttle..Hmmm, so no idle?....Don't know if boost leak would cause shut down? Or plugs? Shutdown and then no idle still sounds like fuel. Did it run rough when you had it re started or smooth, like it was running on less than 4 cylinders. Fuel pump connection failure should show fault code...... Waz, do your magic man, this dude needs the "Big Guns".

    Ok came back from the mechanic and he told me that the supercharger is gone. He said the pulley is coroded and a few other stuff inside of there were corroded. But still even if my supercharger is gone would this still cause my ski to run at 2,000 RPM's for the most ?????

    When i was out on the water it would not run on idle but when i carried it home to flush it ran at idle but still never pasted 2,000 RPM's and another thing i noticed not too much but more than normal, alot of lack smoke was coming out the exhaust. IDK if that helps.

    No it never ran at full speed and my mechanic just before i went out that day changed the hoses one of which was from the BOv to the intake so I assume he checked the BOV. Oh and he changed the exhaust gasket. NOw on big problem I was having with the ski was when i was taking off it would stutter on the holeshot, like it was holding back. Anytime I did donuts it would do the same.
